  1. I surrendered to the fact that I did not know everything and that I needed help.
  2. I made a decision to change my life.
  3. I crafted a vision for my ideal life and surrounded myself with people who could help me get there.
  4. I focused on stacking good days together. Be as present as possible. Stay in the here and now.
  5. I was realistic with my timelines even though I was the type of person who expected immediate results.
